I think I've run into a fairly nasty bug. When at home, my phone connects to my 802.11 network. Last night my cable modem connection went down and was down all night. When I woke up this morning, I found that my phone had apparently decided to delete every single one of my contacts during the night. Even shutting off wifi and connecting to the 3G network didn't cause it to re-sync. Eventually, I went to the internet cafe on the corner and got on their wifi, and after 10 minutes or so of being connected, the contacts started to come back.
Is this a known problem? It scared the heck out of me and was a major inconvenience. It's also disconcerting to know that this could happen at any time. If the phone can't contact gmail, it should probably leave the contacts list alone. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
