The growth very much depends on developers help, hence why I'm always 
willing to help anyone get their apps listed on AndAppStore.com, and 
post up links to help developers get rewarded for their work even though 
the methods aren't related to AndAppStore (e.g. Mogees and using the 
OpenX Hosted API).

OI Update has also helped grow the site recently, but, like AndAppStore, 
it relies on the good will of developers to either include update 
information metadata and provide an update file, or keep up to date 
releases listed at AndAppStore so that it can feed off the version info 
we generate.

So developers, we're in your hands....
