If this is supposed to be a feature, it would be nice for someone in the know (hi Google folks) to share how it is intended to work.
The ability to jump to the top is possible on other systems I've used (e.g. Sidekick, Blackberry, iPhone), and it is very handy. I am one of those who loves shortcuts.
