As far as I can tell at this point, videos that will display full 16:9 on the main YouTube site will still display letterboxed and pillarboxed on the G1. This is not unexpected given the recent 16:9 support on YouTube. However, I'm curious as to when an update to the YouTube app will enable full-screen display of 16:9 videos on the G1, and in the meantime, if there are any alternate encoding parameters that would allow a video to fill both the YouTube site 16:9 display area and the full G1 screen?
