Do you think it'll happen before we can run apps from SDs? I can see the current limit on the number of installed being a big problem when users get told they have to uninstall one pay-for app to make space for another. I think it'll severely limit sales because users tend to be unwilling to uninstall apps they've paid for and so may stop buying when they've filled their phone up.
That said I'm not against seeing it, it's just that I think it's release could be better managed by coupling it with apps from SD because it would avoid the "Here's paid apps but you're phone is limited on how many it can have" then later on "Oh yeah, that was the case, but it isn't now", I can see a LOT of scope for confusion.
