Hi Bob,

Thanks for all your words and support!
I figured out what the problem was. I was pointing to the Java/JDK that was
part of CentOS5.2. The failure occurs when using java.4.2+

 After setting my PATH correctly to JDK1.6, the 'make' was successful!
