Yet another choice was [android-discuss], a list specifically set up to support Android topics not related to development of applications against the Android SDK. That is why I am responding over here. > I don't see how would T-Mobile be responsible for the buggy update > other than the fact that apparently no one made the slightest effort > to test the very trivial things we do every day with the device and > especially calls, because this is a phone for crying out loud. There is a broad spectrum of possibilities as to what is happening with your device. On the one end, hundreds of thousands of G1s are broken because of bugs introduced in the latest update. On the other end, a handful of G1s are broken, for unknown reasons peculiar to those specific devices. As of this moment, we have I think two or three confirmed reports of problems, at least as seen on these lists. I have not seen news reports, blog entries, or tweets suggesting that this issue is widespread, though it's possible I'm just not monitoring the correct sources. I, for one, would be interested to see any other reports of problems caused by the latest update. After all, if the update *is* broken for everybody, it is important to start to determine that now. But it would be nice to collect evidence first and cast blame second. > Not only that, but the when I try to run an app, the device chooser > starts seeing N devices, instead of one, and it keeps adding a > (offline) device every few seconds. FWIW, I have been uploading applications to my updated G1 without incident. -- Mark Murphy (a Commons Guy) http://commonsware.com _The Busy Coder's Guide to Android Development_ Version 2.0 Available! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
