Has anyone else noticed that searching on new Android docs site is
severely broken?
Try searching for "ViewGroup" on the new site:
http://developer.android.com/search.html#q=viewgroup
... to my amazement, the first PAGE of search results does not include
the reference to the JavaDoc for android.view.ViewGroup
Now try the search on the GOOD doc site... the one they are going to
shut down:
http://code.google.com/search/#p=android&q=viewgroup
I am going to really miss the old search! In case anyone else is as
disappointed as I am my the poor quality of search, if what you are
searching on is a class name, you can use the search feature of your
web browser on this page:
http://developer.android.com/reference/classes.html
Haven't found a good solution for searching on methods :-(
I hope the uncontactable maintainers of developer.android.com can
improve things before the old site is shut down!
