That's already happening (and to some extent inevitable). I noticed that in SDK 1.1 r1 and the recent associated firmware upgrades one can no longer use a menu.clear() for an empty placeholder menu in onMenuOpened() because it makes your app crash with a divide by zero exception, whereas in previous SDKs and firmware versions this did not happen. So with my ADP1 still stuck at older firmware I could not reproduce event reports from users on this until I tried the SDK 1.1 r1 emulator...
