I think all this worry about chargebacks is overblown. The refund
policy is there to help prevent chargebacks. If the user just requests
a refund normally using their phone then you will lose the money for
the sale, but you won't get a chargeback fee. If the user waits until
after the automatic refund period has elapsed, then they can still e-
mail the developer directly and ask for a refund, and the developer
can choose whether or not to provide one. You'll only get a chargeback
fee if the user hasn't bothered to ask for a refund, but can be
bothered to call up their bank to do the chargeback. As I understand
it, banks don't like chargebacks either, and I imagine the first
question they ask is "did you ask for a refund from the seller
directly?"
