It seems pretty obvious that whoever at Google is in charge of releasing Market features is doing a pretty poor job, so I'd like to put out the following rule for discussion;
- Google should *ALWAYS* roll out changes to Market to ADP users *FIRST* and leave them with a couple of weeks trial period before releasing it to their partners. ADP users are developers. They understand betas, they will test new features for compatibility with their apps, they know what to expect from beta code, and they're not going to walk away thinking "Last time I tried to buy a G1 app is was a nightmare, not doing that again". I am a G1 owner, I don't own an ADP, I have no intention of owning an ADP, but I would *far* rather see ADP users get an advantage in getting features first than I would see users not use Market due lack of confidence. It just does not make economic, business, or logical sense to drop feature changes directly onto end users who have pay for the service via their monthly contracts when you have an army of ADP users eager to try out new features and have a vested interest in improving the end user experience. Web services take a modicum of knowledge to use, they've always had rough edges, and therefore users are more understanding of problems. *Phones are not like web services*, users rely on them, users know that can work without significant issues, users do change 'phones if things do not work smoothly. So come on Google, get a clue and at least start acting like you understand the market you're trying to be in.
