Even though Android is currently limited to T-Mobile and Voda at the moment,
more carriers will jump on the wagon as we go along. When that happens, the
apps you create now will be immediately available whereas there would be a
downtime if you choose to wait until a carrier is available in your area..

Hi,

I started to take a look on the Android platform a couple of months
ago. I found it quite interesting, so I thought I should write
something on it. I wrote 2 applications and started to develop an open-
source charting library currently at its 0.1.0 version. The website
for this is www.achartengine.org

Anyway, after 2 months I still face the same issues as I had since day
#1:
 * developer phones are not sent to Romania.
 * we have no T-Mobile in Romania, so no Android G1 phones this way
either. There is some hope coming from G2 as we have Vodafone here,
but that means another few months to wait.
 * no payed apps support for Romania. I wonder if / when that will
happen?
 * nobody knows when / if ADC II will eventually happen.
 * I was thinking I could pay some domain and hosting related expenses
for the AChartEngine website using Google's AdSense. After waiting 10
days or so, I still have no approval received from them.

Given the above, what reason should I have to keep developing on this
platform and not move to a different one?

Regards,

Dan
