Hi,

Probably yes ( they will loose paid apps access ) if they are
international roaming / not on a TMO sim account. Who's provider sim
card are you using ?

I have an ebay G1 in non US/UK and non TMO sim account and cannot see
any paid apps (yet) either through GSM/3G nor WIFI.

I'd be interested to know if, with G1, when international roaming and
TMO sim outside us/uk, still allows access to paid apps in the market,
with GSM/3G/WIFI, anybody ?

I guess one of the issues for Google is who gets the 30% cut when you
are not explictly associated with an official provider ( using their
sim card ) ?

It is probably one of those nebulous issues when this is considered in
conjunction with google checkout and foreign currencies, international
data roaming and its inter provider agreements, your location at the
time of purchase, the country of origin of your credit card being used
for the purchase and sim card of provider being used.

>From a consumption perpective paid apps currently appear to limited to
(G1) phones with sim cards from the official providers being operated
in the sanctioned locations.

The Market Store app may look the same to all users but it seems to be
stocked with different content based on some of the variables
mentioned.

( I can only guess that this maybe one of the Market related benefits
offered as part of the private deals being done to bring exclusive
providers onboard - think Kogan and Optus in Australia ).

Try this for example - can you access / download (free) Pac-Man from
the Market store ? I cannot, don't know why ...

Regards
