That's exactly it, I think.

Since none of the Canadian Providers have adopted the Android so far,
there is no Canadian Paid Android Market.  If/when there is a device
that supports the Canadian Infrastructure (mostly CDMA based, with
Rogers being the only GSM option), there will be apps.  It's directly
related to the announcements we get about the various Android Markets
opening up.

I'm going to get a T-Mobie Prepaid this weekend for the sole purpose
of seeing what's happening in the US market, since it's too easy to
not care about my own backyard.
