By open I mean that you can use the phone with any carrier, in fact I
got confused when it was anounced that the G1 would be unlocked after
three months. So, its right you can use it in any carrier, but 3G will
not work. Same thing with the paid market. You can use it only with
TMobile, that what I call closed framework.
In any case I am complaining for not being able to use the paid
market, not because it is paid. In fact I was waiting for the paid
apps., I not only think its fair, it also produces better produucts.
Again, I assumed one could use the market with any carrier given that
the phone was not blocked.
