And the culprit of bad sales shows its ugly head. On Mar 18, 2009, at 8:42 AM, Sean Hodges <[email protected]> wrote:
I've recently tried to buy an application on the market (the Klaxon alarm clock, specifically, but I have since tried others); when I click "Buy" and "OK" on the permissions screen, I get the following error: Invalid credit card Please enter a valid credit card or visit checkout.google.com to edit your payment methods. <Add card> <Cancel> I have tried setting up my card via the "Add card" screen, it appears to submit the information, but then returns me back to the "Invalid credit card" dialog I have successfully set up my card on the Google Checkout website, but the error message still appears when I try to buy an app on the market. My payment is via a UK Maestro debit card, the market help claims that this is supported for UK users: http://market.android.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=105916&topic=15871 Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone report they are successfully buying applications in the UK? I just wonder how many people have quietly given up on paying for applications because they have not been able to set up their payment method in the first place... If there is a better place to raise my issue, please let me know and I will report it there as well. I would love to start actually buying some applications!
