Many Thanks to you all for your response. and yes I am slightly
dissappointed becasue I was sold the Android phone on the basis that
it was better than the iphone and that the games were unlimited. So
far iv found one or 2 games playable but you can see that its a more
application based platform.

I do love my little android phone ~ im not one for conforming to the
apple life just because its apple, but I would like to get a little
more out of my phone games wise... Is ther a gaming group?

As i asked earlier, and you mentioned that games for the iphone would
be available on the G1 ~ is there another platform or site to
download / search for games other than the Android Market?
Many Many thanks again for your help.

If you have been sold an Android Phone with the guarantee that it was
better than the iPhone, I hope you have a copy of that guarantee
somewhere, because if you've been sold the G1 Phone as having the same
quality/range/number of applications as the iPhone, at the moment,
then you'll be sorely dissappointed.

The Android platform is a good platform, but the games/applications
market is no where near as mature (relative term here, since the
iPhone AppStore is less than a year old) or as large as the iPhone
software market.

As the another poster said, iPhone apps will work on the G1 phone.
Most if not all of the developers working in the iPhone AppStore are
unlikely to port their applications to the Android Marketplace. With
Flick Fishing (I'm guessing it's the game you're talking about). You
could ask the developers Freeverse if they plan to port their
application, but that's probably unlikely, at least not until the
Android Market grows larger or matures. More likely an Android
developer will build a similar game (I was going to say knock off, but
very few ideas are original), maybe taking advantage of some of the
features of the Android platform that don't appear on the iPhone.

Hi everyone

I must firstly apologise because I am not a developer, I wish I could
code but sadly I went down the artist route,

I wanted to ask... if there is any way of downloading an Android
version of the Fishing game that is on the iphone?

I was sold the G1 on the guarntee that it was better than the iphone ~
however Im finding the games and apps id like which are available on
the iphone ~ andrioid does not have.

A friend mentioned about downloading apps through torrentz ~ again I
am cluless how to go about doing that.

SO if there is anyone kind enough to explain to me how, I would be
greatly appreciated, and also any info about the possibility of the
fishing game being available for Android.

Many Many Thanks!

Danielle
