One of the worrying things is that I found a site that was showing 175 downloads for a $3.99 app in to 100-500 download category on market. There was also 380 pirated downloads of a $19.99 app.
For the first app this means at best a 35% pirated-to-paid ratio, at worst 175%, and that's just the pirated downloads from one site.
