She liked the shiny case. She said it just looked like a high quality device. Then she used it and was sold. She took one look at the g1 and thought it was crap based on the exterior. Unfortunately she represents the average customer.
Now, I've owned both devices for some time and have to agree that the iPhone is a far superior consumer device Overall. She assumed the 'G1' was crap without even picking it up?This Does not sound like an informed choice, or a savvy consumer. She no doubt had a pre-existing notion about the two devices based not at all on fact, but rather on marketing and hype. The I- Phone is a good platform, but much over hyped. Explain to me why when Apple implements cut 'n paste on the I-Phone it's on the front page of the NYT, when Android and WinMobile had already impemented this feature a long time ago. Soon Android will have Flash and other features that the I-Phone will not have, we will see which is really the best choice for the informed consumer. I even tried to advice her not to get one because the plan would be too expensive. She did not care. She also saw my g1. She never even tried to use it and she thinks it's crap. I tried to convince her that Android could be the future. She advised me to just stick with iPhone for now. The damn thing could sell itself. On Apr 21, 11:54 am, Mark <[email protected]> wrote: ... It seems like the press is bit I-Phone centric in general, due to the great success of Apple's propoganda machine. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
