I would be interested to know what other developers thought about the idea of having a interface builder/template system? Notably a mechanism to easily create multi-level navigation widgets, such as the default menu builder in the iPhone SDK.
The reason I ask is because it would be nice to have a certain degree of continuity between apps so users are not bombarded with hundreds of different UI designs and methods of interacting with them. Its certainly possible to create half decent menus with the current SDK, I myself have used a concoction of lists and view flippers, but it results in more effort and the small possibility of confusing new users who may just be used to basic buttons or lists. So what is everyone's opinion on this, would it be nice to have a menu builder/interface template system? I would vote yes ;) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
