Would it be against Marketplace regulations to sell an application which, upon purchase, would enter a time-limited, fully functional mode, which would require additional activation?
Such an activation can be as simple as punching in a developer- provided activation key or maybe even automatic, wirelessly from within the application. There are several different scenarios I can think of that would justify such a practice, the simplest being a purchase of a time- limited subscribtion. Anyone tried that yet? How are people selling subscribtions and where's the line between subscribtion and developer-provided activation for the program? Finally...is there any API (probably in Google checkout) that would let us get notified about each sale (web service or http post) in real time so that we can automatically register the sale and be ready for activation request from the device? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
