I don't want to be a party pooper but because of the issues I have with my G1, notably: - having to press the dial button (to answer a call) and hang up button (to end a call) continuously for 5 to 10! seconds before they respond[1] - abrupt call endings for almost every call ... everybody who's seen my G1 has laughed mercilessly at me, not to mention the iPhone guys.
Some comments not related to the problems above were: - it looks cheap - it feels cheap - the keyboard slider screeches ridiculously - no wonder, Google can only produce beta software (I'm telling you guys, this phone will never be associated with T-Mobile and HTC no matter what anyone says) etc., etc. [1] The dial button works just fine when I dial any number, it only fails to work when I have to answer a call, which is why I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware issue, and am impatiently waiting for 1.5 to see if it will take care of the problem. Note that I didn't have these 2 problems with the 1.0 firmware, and started experiencing both the minute after I installed 1.1.
