At the moment there is a 7 day chart of downloads for all apps so you can see what's been popular over the last week.
We're going to look to adding a similar thing for purchasable extras so users can see what others are buying, but we want to make people are happy with the way the purchasing process works before rolling out any more functionality based on it.
