Have you had a go with beebPlayer from the Market?  It now works for
me (after initial problems) with both wifi and 3g.

Phone:   ADP1 v. 1.5
Provider: Three
Country: UK

Some of the comments from the app do indicate connection problems if
you use T-mobile, though.
