This is very odd, as I have experienced much much better life in 1.5 vs 1.0/1.1 on the Dream. I also think the consensus on xda is that 1.5 provides a much much better battery life.
Perhaps you have an odd app that is draining it, or perhaps you need to recondition the battery?
