You're mixing your comparisons here. Yes, The *Android OS* isn't aimed anywhere, but the currently available devices (the G1 and Magic) have a definite Geek/Consumer aim (hence why they're on consumer tariffs and not business ones).
There is also no guarantee that supporting enterprise apps will "sell way more units". People may want Android 'phones, but with enterprises there are far bigger concerns than just what people want.
