You're mixing your comparisons here.

Yes, The *Android OS* isn't aimed anywhere, but the currently available devices
(the G1 and Magic) have a definite Geek/Consumer aim (hence why they're on
consumer tariffs and not business ones).

There is also no guarantee that supporting enterprise apps will "sell way more
units". People may want Android 'phones, but with enterprises there are far
bigger concerns than just what people want.

Support

i never said wait till all are supported before releasing, although
seriously not supporting exchange crippled the G1 adoption for
enterprise.

and secondly, it's android. it's not aimed anywhere, but you could
seriously sell way more units and have better market penetration if
you simply support common enterprise software.

it's retarded to create a smartphone and leave out vital business
applications. there are many people out there who want an android
phone but can't afford to or don't want to carry around two phones to
fill their work/play needs. if you consider carrier subscriptions etc
it's ridiculous to expect this of people.

being able to get your work email will take precedence over having a
"nifty" android phone.
