I had a bunch of negative comments and a few 5 stars when I released my program GPS Prasna. But it was for a niche market and people who know the field would be the only folks who would appreciate it (those were the 5 stars). I guess people, hungry for apps, were downloading it. It is an Indian astrology application for generating horoscope at the moment and location where the astrologer is. GPS is a natural for that. But people apparently thought it would tell their fortunes. It also didn't run (though mentioned in the description) if GPS wasn't turned giving a warning about that. So I revised it a little so anyone could see the chart using fake coordinates if GPS wasn't turned on (again with a warning). Since then there have been no negative comments and emphasizing it's niche use in the description probably helped those who wouldn't understand it from downloading and running it.
