Comparing a smart phone to a netbook is like comparing apples to
oranges. They both do essentially the same thing, but a smart phone
has better portability, takes the place of multiple devices, and the
list goes on and on. You have to realize how much technology is
packed into smart phones these days. GPS, compass, bluetooth, wifi,
etc etc. The smaller the electronics the higher the price. Like
others say, its definitely not Android specific. BB, iPhone, Nokia
are all high prices with and without a contract.
