Hi, One of the features my Dash had was sound profiles, including one called Automatic. With Automatic always enabled a calendar entry with Show time as Busy turned off all sounds on the phone for the duration of the calendar entry.
Without this feature on my G1 if I remember to turn the phone to Silent mode, it's a gamble when I'll remember to turn Silent mode off. After all, we're all busy and that's the reason we have smartphones. While there's an app called BuzzOff that will re-enable sounds you have to remember to set it every time you go into a place where you need the phone silent - and you have to remember to turn the phone to silent mode. Still the same amount of work needed to keep the phone quiet when you're busy. Is this the right place to raise this issue, either as a feature suggestion for Android or as an app feature suggestion?
