Android is still a very new platform and hasn't had the time that the
obsolete palmos has had for application developers to build their
systems. Additionally, the current mobile OS market is much more
fractured than it was back when palmos was king. Back then, you
basically had palm and nothing else. Now you have Android, Symbian,
RIM, and Apple, which means that development is being split up.

Unfortunately, this means that you may have a very hard time finding
these applications that you are looking for, assuming that ANY of them
even exist. A good place to start would be in contacting the software
developers of the applications you are used to -- even if they don't
currently have software for Android, if you give them the perception
of demand, then they may become interested in developing for this
platform.

You can also look for general developers to build applications
specifically for you.
