Hi, Just getting my G1 working with a broadband data SIM and it needs me to enter some details to get PPP working - specifically a number to dial and to select PAP for authentication - to get a data connection from UMTS.
>From some posts here it seems PAP is disabled in the PPP daemon - although I looked at the code and that seemed that it is inbound PPP requests that are disabled not outgoing. That's just a very quick peruse of the code. Before I go in-depth can anyone help answer the following: 1) Is it possible to use PAP to authenticate a PPP connection? If so, what must I do? 2) How do I get the "number" dialed? Normally pppd will invoke a script to do so but I'm not sure how this translates in the android environment.
