Thanks for this story. I will definitely upload several of my apps to slideme 
and andappstore. Just as soon as i get some time of course. :)

This guy lives in Cambodia and was about to return his HTC Magic since he 
couldn't download any apps, as there is no Android Market there. He downloaded 
SlideME from a bookmark that HTC put in the browser. After that he downloaded a 
number of applications (he lists some on his site) and now he is quite happy 
with his device. So even though you see smaller download numbers on alternative 
sites, they are in fact getting into the hands of some people that really 
appreciate the effort that developers have made.
