Wow, I'm surprised they don't let you undo the discard at least. It would be pretty easy to add that option in the menu, or temporarily at the top of the inbox. Gmail in the browser on my Desktop does the latter. It's good policy to allow undo in any case where the user loses work. I wonder if there's a proper place to submit a feature request.
