Hi Guys! Again!

I decided to just put my idea out there, and hopefully either I'll get
flamed because someone else had the idea already, and I didn't know it
was in the works, or two - it'll happen!

Now, I've had 5 android devices, and it is a PAIN to move from device
to device. Now, I know that Goggle has a cloud infrastructure, and
more than likely the most database experience on the planet right now,
(sorry IBM/Oracle - Google manages a *LOT* of data for free!!).

I don't think it would be too hard to push out an android update that
syncs app info\configuration back to the cloud of behalf of the user.
It would be GREAT to know that I can change phone/provider/country and
when I sign into my android *device* (because this would be amazing on
an android laptop!), I have the option to download all the apps that I
had installed on my other devices, AND synchronise all the settings
and configuration, without having to locate all the apps on Android
Market, and then have to copy all my settings across.

I did notice something using my android devices, that all my data on
my device is pretty much synced with google, email, contacts, SMS
(using an SMS backup app), google reader - it's only a matter of time
before google docs gets full sync, and chrome syncs bookmarks with the
browser.

To have that functionality across multiple devices? ( As soon as an
android based laptop comes out I will aquire/steal/buy one!) Laptop,
Mobile Phone, and Desktops? When I'm on the move, my apps, my data -
when I'm working remotely, like at a friends house, coffee shop, my
apps, my data - and also when I get home, my apps, my data - all
synced, with the devices, with the cloud, piece of mind assured.

Oh, we would need remote kill switch, that only the user can activate
- which has got me thinking, we'll need an Android portal, to help
manage all the devices, like remotely installing apps on devices -
maybe I'm at work, and I get wind of an awesome app, I go to my
portal, find it, and assign it to my desktop, and my laptop - when I
get home, I can use the app straight away, not needing to think of
compatibility, or even availability ... okay, I'm going to stop
talking now, I should be getting paid for these ideas -- GOOGLE!? You
listening!?

Have a great day, I hope to generate some conversation off the back of
this, we can dream, right?
