Oh. Well, that gets to be more of a problem. In principle, through "rooting" a regular consumer phone, you should be able to load your own firmware. You may wish to post your question on the [android-porting] Google Group (if these are private experiments) or the [android-platform] Google Group (if these are to be contributions back to the Android Open Source Project), to determine what the current recommendations are for your situation.
