android and google apps (gmail, youtube, and whatnot) are principally
different things... google apps are like any other apps from the app
market that you must buy or with permission download to your handset
(for free)... android is an os... that's in principle.... in real
world, it is natural that you think google apps are part of android as
a perception has been very strongly shaped from the very first day of
android launch in which google apps are attached to android given
they're driven/developed by the same company .. so what then ? google
may not have put it clearly in black & white in the first place, so
you can't really blame the developer... , i'm not sure if this thing
has been blown out of proportion if the fact is that google only sent
a "reminder" rather than a threat about the difference / needing a
license to include google apps for any distribution... however if
otherwise where google just blasted the developer, then, google
should've been wiser and issued a gentle reminder only.... i dont know
which is which, and the issue is, regardless the principle, does the
black-&-whie state clearly that google apps are not android therefore
permission is required for distribution ?  be wise....
