I am using Cyanogen's 4.11.1.1 ROM on my T-Mobile G1. I was hoping that "Donut" (aka. 1.6) would finally support Voice Dialing through a Bluetooth device. Unfortunately it doesn't ;-(
Any idea if the Android community is working of offering the full Bluetooth HFP (Hands Free Profile) for these phones? A2DP is fine... but it doesn't help when you need to use the p[hjone while on the road. I was using Voice Dialing through Bluetooth on my Windows Mobile devices and it was pretty accurate. On the G1, apart from the fact that you cannot voice dial through the BT device, the built-in voice dialer is pretty archaic. I haven't been able to voice dial a single time without the G1 displaying a list of possible end users. In other wrods, having to use the keyboard is NOT hands free dialing! How can the Windows community have this function pretty much perfected while the Android base is still struggling to even make the basic version work? We are @ 1.6... hopefully 2.0 will resolve this (or will it?) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
