Probably out of line here, but wondering. I don't see any of the magic
on the phones that are out. I was expecting some integration between
GPS and Events. I haven't really seen any apps that are taking
advantage of Android's possibilities. I've always needed an app to
plan events for me. I want my app's home screen to be a list of
interests, to-dos, must haves, favorites, etc. Then when I get close
to them by distance via GPS or time via clock/calendar I want the app
to suggest the event with details ie phone number, map, details.
An example: I put on my home list "Zombieland" and "5 miles" as
distance desired to participate and "after 5:00pm" in time constraint.
i.e. there are three fields to fill out, Item, Within what distance to
participate, and Within what time frame.
Then upon hitting "Enter" the Suggested Events screen opens (also
opens by default when opening app) and a list of events are given to
me in order of my location and/or time requirements. Oh, and wouldn't
it be nice to be voice activated????
ITEM DISTANCE TIME
Pick up Milk 1mile any
Wash car 2.5 miles any
Zombieland 4 miles 7:00pm
Yankees bb 23 miles 7:15pm
etc.
etc.
etc.
Each line is a button when pressed will give options to dismiss, map,
call, etc.
As time passes tolerance, or GPS passes tolerance, or dismissed, the
list moves up, raising the next best suggestion to the top.
This sounds like a pretty universal idea that could be created. I'm
interested in any suggestions or interest.
