Hi,

Thank you for sharing this. I am seriously considering to order the SDK.
Unfortunately their developer forums seem to be available only after
you ordered the SDK.

The biggest question is how good is their BSP support. Is it
open-source (at least source is available for those who license it
under an NDA or similar restrictions), so if the Eclair sources are
released, one can recompile their BSP against it. Or does one have to
wait until they port the drivers and release new builds. If the answer
is yes to this, then this device has a great potential to become the
best Android platform development device.

It is a shame that such a nice device does not have a 3G chip in it,
but it is still very nice. I assume that if it will be successful, 3G
enabled variations will eventually surface.

It would also be nice if the USB on it would support USB host mode, so
it could be extended with a 3G module if necessary.

Apart from the Zii EGG, the ZMS-05 (and its EVM) seems to be a great
development platform. Depending on the price, it might become the next
Beagleboard.

>From the Android standpoint the greatest problem with Beagleboard and
other OMAP based solutions is that it does not have PowerVR 3D drivers
available. The drivers that can be downloaded from TI only seem to
work with GLIBC and "normal" Linux distributions.

Best Regards,
Gergely
