Or... this is providing a venue for those types of applications that would otherwise try to sneak into the present marketplace. You don't need to downolad any of these applications yourself, and by keeping them on a separate marketplace, you don't even need to expose yourself or those whom you wish to "protect."
I may personally never create for or purchase a single application from this new marketplace, but I'm pleased to see that Android can be open enough as a platform that it allows others to create these opportunities.
