I just replaced my G1 with a Nexus One and I love it for many reasons. I like the bigger screen, the two extra panels, the 5 mega pixel camera, the noise cancellation, the new ear-buds, the documentation on how to use it without a Google account or cell phone account, the beauty of the screen, the docking station (that I can't buy yet), that it is easier to open than the G1, that I could just move the SIM card from my G1 and it worked, that it has a replaceable battery, etc.
But I wish some things were different. I wish the battery charger for the G1 and the Nexus One were the same. I wish the Nexus One had a hardware keyboard. I wish the soft keypad was easier for me to use. I wish the display was still wider. It would be okay with me if it was as wide as my old Palm TX. I wish I could buy an extra battery for it and a standalone charger (that had some quality to it) for charging the battery outside of the phone. I suppose you could say that I want a "personal computing device" that has a phone as part of it rather than a "phone" that has a personal computer as part of it. It is more a matter of focus, I guess. I wasn't sure I wanted to get a Nexus One because my G1 still works and the Nexus is expensive (for me anyhow) but I am so glad I did. It is wonderful. Thanks!
