If you have a user community around the free version they may feel slightly cheated when you start charging for a pro versions which probably contains some of the features they want.
Alternatively you might find that people are getting the Pro version from one of the many Android warez sites out there and thinking that you're trying to charge people just because they use market. One commented that they would give 5 stars (to the free app) if the pro version was free! They have not purchased the paid app, AFAICT. What do people think about this?
