Honestly?

Open a high interest savings account and put what you can afford in
there. This "insurance" will cover your phone (after the initial cost
of the phone has been saved - you could do this as a lump sum if you
can afford it). But not only that, it could potentially also cover
your laptop, travel luggage, bicycle, car parts when you would rather
not claim on your car insurance... You also get ALL THE INTEREST
earned on the money.

When it comes to phone insurance, remember the golden rule: Those
people who never lose or damage their phones subsidise the costs for
the frequent phone losers.

...and the silver rule: Mobile phone insurance companies are in the
business of ripping you off.

If you really must get insurance, you should really pit them out
against each other (rather than depend on a mailing list poll). Get
quotes from a lot of them and barter with the cheapest for a better
deal. However, if possible I would recommend keeping the money and
saving yourself the trouble.
