I don't think that's quite what I was asking. Is there a case where Application A is ranked higher then application B on one handset, but on another handsets it's ranked lower then application B? That might be implied by what you guys are describing, but I wanted to be sure.
I liked being able to say, application A by publisher X is beating application B by publisher Y, in Android market ranking. It is sounding like I would have to check each of the more popular Android phones current market market listings to determine that. It's probably still worth doing for the Top 10 for each handset major Android handset, but it is a lot more work then just checking my Droid. And that's assuming Google hasn't started showing different rankings per user, and not just different rankings per hardware. This complexity of market ranking is probably why Google hasn't encouraged or prioritized an html version of the market, how would you even display it?
