I asked that question a few months ago and got the answer "Don't call us, we'll call you." so I think you can forget trying to promote your app through that feature. Of course, things might have changed or will be changing, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to try and contact them, even if you get turned down flat like I did. It took nearly two months to get an answer back as well.
