Yeah no surprise there. So to get a lot of traction, you probably ought to give more detail. A sample xml layout that is as simple as possible, but doesn't work, attached to the ExtendsActivity.java that is also as simple as possible, but doesn't work, is exactly the sort of code sample that could get results.
You should probably also check out b.android.com. If you're seeing the issue on multiple handsets, then it's not handset specific. But if it does seem handset specific, you would also want to post on the related OEMs developer forum. I recently resurrected my own dead thread on the Motorola Developer forum, from an on old memory leak issue I had when I set compatibility mode for the Droid. I got some advice that seemed good on how to shrink PNGs, and had been tested on some other Android phone then the one I was talking about :) Have you guys noticed the clipboard doesn't require any permission at all? I think we probably should require a permission, it just feels like something the user should be warned about. I wrote a quick clipboard history application and was surprised that there wasn't a related permission.
