I know this has already been covered, but I'd like a definitive answer
as to when Australian developers will be allowed to sell paid apps? I
know it's a Google Checkout restriction, but really? You want to talk
about how closed Apple is and how open Google is, how about 'opening'
the market place to us Australians? Also is it just me or does the
Google have no email addresses where we can ask these kind of
questions and get a response? Even Apple offers those.

Our Australian Weather app has sold very well on the iPhone, so it's
not like there's no market in Australia for smart phone users and
apps, but if you want us to take Android seriously this needs to be
sorted out.

The demand is starting to grow from our user base (a few of who have
switched to Android), so what we need to know is: is it even worth us
thinking about Android as Australian Developers? Yes I know we can
offer the download outside the store and figure out our own payment
model through Paypal or someone like that, but really, we've learnt
one thing from Apple's store: The more steps you put between the user
and the final purchase, the more likely they are to pull out at each
step.
