One thing about running the Nexus One on AT&T...

I had a data plan on AT&T that was unlimited and $15 a month, I used
it with the Google ION (Dev2) device for over a year without a
complaint from AT&T. The moment I started up the N1 I got an e-mail
from AT&T telling me they canceled my unlimited data plan and switched
me to a "smart phone" plan that cost $25 a month. While this isn't
unreasonable, it wasn't expected and took me by surprise. I can only
guess that the 3G access of the N1 caused some sort of bit to flip in
their system. I have tried the hotspot capability with the N1 and it
works great, I'm just wondering when I'll get the next surprise from
AT&T telling me their adding some other charge to my bill for sharing
the connection. So far, nothing on that but I haven't used it for more
than a few tests.
