At least here in the US these are beginning to show up at b&m mass
market retailers. There's the Augen tablet that will be in stores
probably today (the guy at K-Mart thought it would be on the truck
today). I also read that the importer didn't get that many units in
this shipment. BUT this sets a president so Target, Walmart, Walgreens,
CVS and probably stores like Fry's will not be far behind. Much of this
will be to cash in on "back-to-school" sales.
I wouldn't mind getting one myself both to make sure the my software
looks and works well on them and I get tired of removing my own apps on
my one phone to test the new versions (since I have to have two versions
one for the Market and one with my own DRM for my web site sales). I
just remember how burned I was when I bought my ASUS EeePC a couple
years ago. It was the "Surf" model and was discontinued a month later.
It had only 2 GB of memory on it and the model that replaced it had 8 GB
for the same price. And at that it was one of the machines that had a
screwed up memory card reader which would not write. But I've still
gotten a lot of use out of it. I may wait to see what people have to
say about these pads.
I was also one of the "early adopters" for the HD hybrid cameras and
actually bought 3 of them. I use the last one I bought at $150 more
than my $2K Sony.

Hi. I've been thinking about buying one but I can't find them
anywhere. Though there seems to be no shortage of chinese iPad clones
using Android and simialr specs. Take a look at here:

Most of them run on Android 1.6 without Android Market which you have
to take into account if you plan to support these.
