I haven't read the document but from what's been said the Market has a
demo section and you could put a limited run demo version of the app
there. Then they could purchase version if they like the demo. It
might also work for those who want to sell of their own web site.

It doesn't seem like this could be used to publish a "Paid app, free
trial available".
